Raytheon Technologies Sr Supv, Mfg/Ops in Dallas, Texas
Raytheon Technologies is seeking an effective candidate to supervise 10 or more direct reports on 3rd shift (10:00pm - 6:30am CST generally). This position will coordinate productivity improvement studies for an advanced manufacturing factory and be a change agent for continual improvement within the factory. This team member will develop and maintain performance metrics for their teams and ensure that their production lines are meeting the production schedule and cost proposed to their customers. This candidate will be tasked with implementing continuous improvement methods utilizing lean manufacturing principles, and be capable of motivating their team to be involved in these improvements. Finally, this candidate will be required to coordinate production across many programs through the manufacturing space. Excellent and demonstrated organizational skills is must.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Document / Lead safety evaluations, hardware investigations, corrective action development & implementation, etc.
Participate in MRP reviews, audits, forecasts, etc.
Inventory coordination & reconciliation
Monitor and proactively address performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, and quality.
Collaborate cross-functionally to improve efficiency of factory operations and leverage commonality where applicable.
Cultivate commonality across all operations by collaborating with engineering, mission assurance, and operations.
Excellent tactical skills – will be required to focus on getting material into factory work cell kits, expediting material through various processes, etc.
Minimum of 5 years relevant operations experience in a manufacturing or military setting
Experience with lean implementation and information technology systems
Effective leadership, problem solving, and project management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Meaningful team and individual developmental skills (Coaching for Success)
Ability to think strategically and resolve long-term impact of decisions
Ability to develop multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Ability to develop creative solutions to achieve goals of improved efficiency and low assembly costs
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
Excellent communication skills
Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment
Training / Implement Lean Manufacturing Principles
Required Education (including Major):
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable major or equivalent combination of education and experience
