Raytheon Technologies Senior Procurement Associate in Denver, Colorado
Raytheon Intelligence & Space, a business unit of Raytheon Technologies, is seeking a strong candidate to join the Acquisition Team as a Sr. Procurement Associate who will be responsible for all stages of purchasing and supplier management within the Core Commodities team (primarily RF, cable assemblies, and connectors categories) in support of programs in the Communications & Airspace Management Systems product line.

Our team members have come from backgrounds in finance, production planning, contract management, internal audit, and compliance. Experience in supply chain, purchasing, or the defense industry is a plus!
This role can be filled in a variety of Raytheon hub locations and is permanently work-from-home, with occasional travel for team meetings and supplier visits (currently only business-critical travel is permitted due to COVID.)
Select qualified suppliers and identify alternate suppliers
Be the key contact point for your suppliers and coordinate with the internal product team
Manage the procurement process start to finish (RFQ, award, management, closure)
Ensure compliance of all purchasing documentation (compliant with internal policies, FAR, DFAR, public law, ITAR, etc)
Negotiate with suppliers (price, schedules and terms & conditions)
Work with suppliers to improve quality and delivery schedule
A University Degree (BA, BS) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or,
An Advanced Degree (MBA, etc) in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Familiarity with/Compliance with Public Laws, Policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), and ITAR and import/export requirements
Reading and understanding drawings, and other technical documents
Leading formal negotiations (price, schedule and supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements, as well as standard Terms and Conditions)
Quickly assimilate new information, processes, systems and tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Able to keep on top of the details of multiple, concurrent issues/projects at various stages and drive to resolution
Fast-paced, efficient, driven to meet targets – success in this role is measured with metrics for placement speed, ability to resolve problems, accuracy/compliance of procurement packages, and cost savings.
