We have an opportunity for a F135 Event Data Analyst on the F135 Sustainment Technical Management team at our East Hartford, CT location.
The Event Data Analyst conducts technical management analysis on depot maintenance events occurring within the F135 propulsion system depot repair network. This position is on a high-visibility F135 Sustainment team that conducts forecasting, sets Minimum Build Policy, and produces the Propulsion System Life Management Plan. This role supports these three key team deliverables.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
auditing and management of event data in appropriate tools throughout the event data life cycle
development and execution of a standard Technical Management analysis methodology for event data
full analysis on primary and coincidental maintenance trending
event data trending based on removal drivers and subsequent depot findings
analysis of scrap rate data
collaborative interactions with internal and external stakeholders on inputs to and outputs of your analysis
periodic presentations to all levels of leadership to present your findings
writing documentation on your findings and analysis methodology
This analysis is used for development of unscheduled removal rates; coincidental maintenance rates; and opportunistic Keep Engines on Wing maintenance integration and rates. Your analysis and findings will be used to support Sustainment depot maintenance event forecasting and Build Policy development.
Statistical analysis experience
Python or R programming experience, or suitable alternative
Experience in statistical analysis packages such as JMP, Minitab, etc., or suitable alternative
F135 experience or a suitable aerospace alternative, especially F135 Sustainment
Interdisciplinary data science skills, including but not limited to database design; developing machine learning models; data research; scientific methods; data technology; and data visualization.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, business, operations management or equivalent preferred. Bachelor’s degree in another field with 5+ years experience indicating significant operations, procurement, maintenance management, or statistical analysis experience acceptable in lieu of specific focus of study.
