The Senior Financial Manager is responsible to provide a broad range of financial support to the Advanced Military Engine Programs area of Military Development Programs (MDP) under of Military Engines from proposal development, thru contract negotiation/award, program execution, and contract close out.

You will create a collaborative work environment to develop and coach a team of financial analysts to provide program financial analysis, reporting, and support including:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare forecasts to support our long range financial planning

  • Conduct monthly/quarterly/annual financial analysis of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flows including an assessment of Risks and Opportunities with recommendations to achieve the annual financial plan

  • Support activities to win new business including participation at Bid / No-Bid decisions, kick-off meetings for proposal development, and analysis of pricing and sales for Air Force, Army, Navy customers

  • Monitor portfolio of contracts including:

  • Spending to ensure budgets are met and customer notifications are provided per contract terms & conditions including monthly/quarterly contract deliverables

  • Support planning of programs and measurement of the program execution

  • Support monthly financial meetings and Estimate-At-Completion (EAC) reviews

  • Support program risk management meetings

  • You will be assertive, results-oriented, have solid problem solving skills, and work effectively with Program Management, Engineering, Contracts/Legal and Finance/Accounting to provide guidance in support financial practices to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations, laws and standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Contract Management and Finance is required, including Experience with Government contracting and knowledge of the FAR and DFAR

  • At least 2+ years of supervisory/managerial experience is required.

  • US Citizenship is required due to Government contracts.

  • A current US DoD clearance or will commit to obtain and maintain a clearance as a condition of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting preferred

  • Experience in Finance or Accounting with a mix of project management and knowledge of Earned Value

  • Management experience within a Defense or Government contractor or Aerospace environment.

  • Prior supervisory or management experience

  • You can work with all levels of management and communicate effectively with peers, customers and clients

  • Self-starter who enjoys a dynamic work environment and overcoming challenges

  • Expert written and verbal skills with ability communicate in a straightforward manner.

  • Highly adaptable team oriented leader with excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness

  • Well organized person, able to plan detailed projects and to use written, verbal, and analytical skills to influence business objectives

  • You are comfortable working Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, SAP and HFM.
