The Strategic Sourcing organization is looking for a Strategic Commodity Specialist in the Mechanical Systems group.
Lead commodity strategy by partnering with internal customers, researching historical market trends, and collaborating with one company counterparts
Develop and execute strategic short and long-term commodity plans through collaboration with stakeholders, (Ops, Engineering, Legal, Program) to achieve performance and cost goals.
Develop and maintain supplier relationships
Negotiate new and expiring Long Term Agreements with suppliers
Optimize performance by partnering with Value Stream customers, understand business needs, ensure Long Term Agreements support all stakeholders
Maintain LTAs and RFQs in SAP and complete annual pricing updates
Participate in supplier Business Unit Reviews and monthly Purchasing Operations Review to communicate progress towards costs reduction goals.
Support RTX integration synergy targets through cost reduction projects
Manage the ownership of commodity strategy and cost target development and implementation
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience or an Advance Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
•US citizenship required due to government contracts
A self-starter that is comfortable navigating nuanced negotiations while working independently. Prior Pratt & Whitney Supply Chain experience.
