Item repair industrialization is a strategic priority within Military Engines to support and grow Fifth Generation fleets through implementation of cost-effective sustainment solutions.

The Military Engines Rapid Response Repair Team is responsible for identifying, expediting, and delivering critical repair capabilities in direct support of this strategic priority.

Within this team, the Military Engines Rapid Response Repair Industrialization Specialist will be accountable for delivery of rapid response value-stream integration for delivery of repair capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver multiple item repair qualification projects with internal and external suppliers from concept to capacity.

  • Ensure source demonstrations and supplier qualification for new repairs are on schedule and lead resolution of delivery, engineering, or quality issues.

  • Enlist engineering resources, coordinate deviation requests, ensure tooling is developed, and work with repair suppliers to ensure alignment to deliver industrialized repair capacity.

  • Develop project plans in alignment with program requirements, communicate and resolve risks and issues, and develop strategies necessary to ensure life of program sustainability for all programs.

  • Maintain current, accurate and detailed schedules for the repairs within their responsibility and will support discussion of repair qualification status at program ISMT’s and other forums.

  • Support development of standard work and PMI’s for agile management practices to manage repair projects and establish domestic and international repair sources.

  • This position will require close coordination with the item repair value stream which includes multiple military engine programs and will require close coordination and alignment with CAIPT, Eagle Supply, Global Services Engineering, Customer Services Engineering and Internal and External Repair Suppliers.

  • You will have excellent skills in analytical thinking, communication, project management, leadership and an understanding of item repair and depot maintenance activities.

  • Travel is required up to 20% visiting suppliers and depot operations

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business field is required

  • A minimum of 5+ years in project management, manufacturing engineering, supply chain management, aerospace MRO operations, or USG program management is required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering or manufacturing project management experience

  • Working with suppliers -- tier one or tier two

  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management

  • Project and program management experience

  • Total quality management type tools such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing

  • A good team player

  • The ability to communicate and lead effectively

  • Repair operations or engineering experience a plus
