Pratt & Whitney’s Aftermarket Supply Chain has an open position for a Senior Manager Indirect Commodity & Sourcing. Primary focus of this position will be to lead and execute to the aftermarket supply chain (ASC) sourcing plan with indirect material, special projects, and with greater support of all Aftermarket Operations (AMO) units in the network.

This senior manager position will oversee supplier management, indirect procurement activity, audit/compliance, ITC adherence, and be a leader to support the entire AMO team. Responsibilities include supplier designation leverage, rationalizing the supply base, drive compliance across the network, and ensure supplier performance is being met with regard for the needs of the immediate team and all network units.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate they can meet or exceed cost savings goals, manage KPI’s, and drive operational improvements in an aftermarket environment. In this role, the candidate will interface with internal customers, suppliers, operations, regulatory, and senior management. Also, the use of standard tools will be key to optimize the operations, drive change, and improve in the overall process. This position will report to the Associate Director of Commercial Engines Aftermarket Supply Chain in East Hartford CT

Key responsibilities include:

Achieve highest levels of quality and internal customer service levels to drive customer satisfaction through delivery on commitments.

Ensure operational controls are in place for compliance to all regulatory and customer requirements.

Maintain high levels of communication with the team (both ASC and AMO units) regarding the status of the business and key operational plans and/or initiatives to achieve goals with a timely and cost-effective strategy in both global/regional strategies

Act as a voice on behalf of AMO units to resolve supplier issues which include supporting escalation of critical issues with both facility and supplier.

Manage employees, performance issues, and performance reviews for all direct reports and ensure that they have the required skills and knowledge to support the goals of the organization and company.

Operate in the role of primary sponsor/change agent for implementation of lean methodologies and tools throughout the enterprise. Ensure compliance with all Export, CORE, Ethics, and corporate policies & initiatives.


8+ years of experience in supply management with indirect and direct procurement responsibility recommended.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at various levels in the organization

Demonstrated ability to drive teamwork between groups and across functional teams

Aerospace Aftermarket and MRO experience is desired.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


•BA/BS in business, supply chain, engineering, finance, or equivalent is preferred

• Advanced degree recommended
