The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform Test Cell Operations Conductor responsibilities for F135 and F119 uninstalled test operations
Responsible for Test Cell facility and engine specific testing kit management and troubleshooting.
Perform F135 and F119 engine systems troubleshooting.
Responsible for Test Facility scheduled and routine maintenance inspections
Responsible to deliver engine test summaries and test reports to the customer for engine acceptance.
Provide disposition to work requests/work package changes associated with Test Cell operations
Responsible for calibration tracking and scheduling for all Test Cell Operation test equipment
Custodial ownership of Test Cell Operations facility and all associated test equipment
Coordinates with the host / Wing’s Civil Engineer squadron for facility and real property support
Read and provide interpretation of F135 Engine Technical Data, Maintenance Awareness Bulletins and Quality Alerts to support production.
Work closely with P&W Engineering and P&W technicians to resolve technical and logistical problems involving propulsion system operation and maintenance
Use self-initiative and discernment to identify problems, conduct investigations to resolve root cause, and coordinate resolution of field issues with the P&W Site Manager, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management team.
Team with other PW on-site personnel to achieve Program, Environmental Health & Safety, Employee Fulfillment and Quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
B.A./B.S. in a related engineering/technical field plus experience. Non-technical degrees will be considered only if the person has a technical background in a directly related field
10+ years of professional experience in turbo-machinery propulsion systems, engine assembly planning and engine/aircraft maintenance
A minimum of 4+ year’s prior experience with F135 and / or F119 engines
Previous Flight Test experience on 5th generation weapon systems
Previous Test Cell run qualification experience on F135 and / or F119 engines
The ability to work in cross-functional teams on a wide variety of tasks and with limited supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift and work extra time as necessary to ensure completion of assigned tasks
US Citizen, due to DoD contracts
Ability to obtain/maintain US DoD Secret Clearance for position requirements
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Experience with aviation maintenance and production information systems (SAP, MERLIN)
Knowledge of turbine engine theory and operation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint
