Raytheon Technologies Sr Systems Administrator II in Edwards Air Force Base, California

Raytheon Intelligence & Space is seeking a motivated Systems Admin/Test Engineer to lead integration and system level testing of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) ground control system. The candidates will perform systems integration and test and requirement verification, with primary focus on hardware and infrastructure components.

Candidate will also work with customer and government representatives at Edwards AFB, CA to configure external interfaces over SIPR, NIPR, and DCGS, track task status and verification status, and perform formal acceptance test sell-off with Raytheon Technologies Quality and customer witnessing.

The candidate will work with on-site customer and government representatives thru next phases of system test including integration with UAV communications systems, air vehicles, and continued integration with external interfaces.

The candidate will support ground test and flight test activities and participate in ground and flight test readiness reviews with customer.

The candidate will also be responsible to:

  • Work with external industry and Govt. stakeholders in the resolution of engineering systems issues.

  • Review or develop test strategies and procedures

  • Work within and coordinate test engineering activities across the customer, supplier and internal IPT.

  • Review assessment of requirements specifications and requirements traceability and verification using tools like DOORS

Required Skills:

  • Current Secret clearance required

  • Minimum of 6 years prior system test engineering experience

  • Experience testing Global Hawk or other UAV C2 systems

  • Solid understanding systems engineering and testing, with proficiency integrating system infrastructure and interfaces, including SIPR and NIPR

  • Experience verifying complex systems involving software, infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity and collaborating with hardware developers, software developers, and cyber engineers

  • Must be able to work independently and coordinate with the primary team in Dulles, VA

  • Must exhibit good time management skills and self-motivation with a focus on customer service

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and sound problem solving skills

  • Enthusiastic and energetic performer able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high visibility environment

Desired Skills:

  • Aviation domain knowledge

  • Experience with leading small teams on tasks within a larger program

    Education Requirements:

6+ years of experience along with a BS in a related degree. May substitute 8 additional years of experience in lieu of the degree requirement. Have a total of 14years of experience.

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
