Raytheon Technologies Systems Engineer II/Systems Information in Eglin Air Force Base, Florida

The Weapons & Platforms Center within the Systems Integration & Test Directorate is seeking Systems Information Engineers to join our team. We take a holistic approach to manage the blending of software, hardware, networks, and cybersecurity. You will be responsible for providing system administration, system support and design consultation for Test Environments and Test Equipment across all product lines. Our normal day consists of system administration of test systems, hardening Industrial Computer Systems to meet cybersecurity requirements, system imaging, configuration, data recovery, hardware diagnostics, and unique solutions in multiple heterogeneous systems.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 2 years of prior professional Information Assurance experience.

  • Experience with Windows, Linux (operating systems in desktop and server environments). Must have excellent troubleshooting ability with all Microsoft Windows and Linux systems to quickly return system to operational status.

  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software in test or factory environments and experience completing system backup/restore procedures for critical assets

  • Experience with account management, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software installation and support

  • Knowledge of and experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and security software (ACAS, NESSUS, NEWT, etc...)

  • Currently meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level I certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)

    Qualifications we Value:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Networking, Information Technology, Engineering

  • Master of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Windows, Linux operating systems in desktop and server environments

  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure architecture and operation including Active Directory, group policy design, file sharing, NIS, and DNS

  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, routers, and their basic operation

  • Excellent independent problem solving ability of hardware/software issues

  • Demonstrated experience scripting in Windows and Linux
