Business Development Director for Space and C2 (SC2) Business Area
Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The Business Development Director for the Raytheon Intelligence and Space, a Raytheon Technologies business, is seeking a Business Development Director (BDD) with experience across the Intelligence and DoD Communities. The BDD will report to the SC2 Business Development Executive and will functionally align to the Vice President of SC2. The BDD will lead a geographically dispersed team of 15-20 including BD Leads, BD Managers, Capture Managers, and other matrixed individuals in support of identification, development, and winning new business for the Mission Area. The BD Director will be accountable for each fiscal year bookings targets in support of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and strategies to achieve growth CAGR within current and new Intel markets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Leading the Business Development Team: lead the BD team in identifying and maturing a robust pipeline; oversee the successful execution of competitive captures to meet AOP and 5YP bookings goal including engaging across BD, CMX, Strategy, and other parts of the Enterprise; ensure timely gate and color team reviews; oversee teaming decisions, pricing and win strategies; accountable to manage discretionary budgets for Selling and Bid and Proposal to yearly targets; ensure timeline and accurate delivery of material to support monthly growth reviews, BD Operations reviews, regular status cadence, and maintenance of pipeline database (ERPM)
Strategy Development : Develop Mission Area and support Product Line strategy development to achieve business goals aligned with customer plans and programs including development of LRPs, and engagement on M&As. Apply comprehensive analysis of external environment, competitor trends, customer budgets/gaps to develop key strategies that focus investment and drive company growth.
Customer Engagement : In conjunction with the Mission Area VP and Program Area Directors, lead the external customer engagement for the BD team; socialize Raytheon’s business interests and influence customer planning, serve as the voice of the customer internally to Raytheon. Coordinate and generate interface opportunities between Raytheon leaders and Senior Level Customers.
14+ years of progressive experience working with IC and/or DoD Customers
Solid leadership with proven results in achieving financial and growth objectives
Proven win record and experience in the capture of $100M+ programs
Strategic and visionary thinker with the ability to develop, communicate and execute mission of the organization
Senior level management experience involving interaction with Executive level customers/management and management of a staff of 10+ people
Established customer and industry network and community recognition
Excellence interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present and articulate technical and business issues to senior internal and external customers
Ability to made sound business decisions in a stressful environment
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
B.S. Engineering or technical related field
Master degree in business or engineering discipline preferred
Familiarity with Raytheon Technologies/RIS businesses, policies, and practices

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $151,000 to $302,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
