Raytheon Technologies Cyber Solutions Technologist in El Segundo, California
The Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) Digital Technology (DT) Cybersecurity Solutions team has an open position for a technical professional with either Microsoft Windows or Linux experience to join us in the development and support of technical cybersecurity solutions.
The Cybersecurity Solutions Technologist reports directly to the RIS DT Cybersecurity Solutions Manager.
Under limited supervision, the RIS DT Cybersecurity Solutions Technologist will partner with Information Assurance (IA), Program Execution, IT Architects, and various stakeholders across the business to develop and deliver IT technical solutions, workflows, and ConOps for use in RIS enclaved environments based on government requirements and the needs of the business.
Work products (test, evaluation, and identification of technical solutions, process, implementation guides, policy, etc.) resulting from this individual and RIS DT Cybersecurity Solutions team will have significant and long-lasting impact to the organization.
The team member should have extensive experience supporting interoperability between a wide array of technologies and operating systems. Drawing from her or their experience, the team member is responsible for addressing IT related security controls based on analysis of a broad set of complex business requirements and considerations.
The team member needs to be self-directed, able to multi-task and prioritize work, possess excellent problem solving skills, analytical, and have deep written and verbal communication skills.
Working on project teams and leading projects, the team member will be required to possess practical project management knowledge.
6 years or more in system administration experience in Microsoft Windows and/or Linux environments, supporting business critical systems on server and/or desktop operating systems
Windows Server and desktop operating systems
RedHat Enterprise Linux or comparable Linux distribution
Demonstrated experience with systems security hardening
Demonstrated experience with configuration management tools, such as: Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, etc
Demonstrated experience with scripting languages, such as BASH and/or PowerShell
Demonstrated proficiency with technical documentation (i.e. implementation guides, design documents)
Demonstrated proficiency with US Government guidelines, such as: RMF, DAAPM, DFARS, ICD 503, JSIG, JFAN, NISPOM, and/or NIST 800-53
Thorough communication skills and customer interaction skills with users of all levels
Occasional travel may be necessary
DoD 8570 recognized security certification or able to obtain within 12 months
US citizenship and the ability to obtain Secret clearance
Proficiency in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting core infrastructure systems and capabilities, including Active Directory management, Group Policy, DNS, Samba, NFS, CA, etc
Demonstrated proficiency in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting of ESXi and vCenter
Demonstrated understanding of encryption and solutions as applied to media (i.e. BitLocker, LUKS)
Knowledge of PKI and certificate management
Knowledge of ITIL Service Operations (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) methodologies
Experience with risk assessment and management methodologies
Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, etc.
Experience with security scanning software, such as: Tenable Nessus or SCCV or DISA ACAS
Cross-platform interconnectivity (i.e. Linux/Windows)
Advance Factory Automation
Active CISSP certification
Active DoD security clearance
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, IT, or related field (STEM) IS required.
