Raytheon Technologies Department Manager - ACT in El Segundo, California
This role is a Department Manager (DM) to lead a RF radar department in the Systems Engineering Directorate to support the Secured Sensor Solution (SSS) Mission Area. DM in this role will be responsible for tactical radar product development, program execution, employee talent development, work force planning, engineering efficiency improvement, and new business pursuits including proposals.
Department Manager will be responsible for all decisions regarding department personnel, including staffing coordination and employee skill development to ensure the department has an acceptable skill mix of systems engineering discipline to support tactical radar programs in SAS, support engineering initiative (i.e. common DOORS database and requirements management process, Common Modes, Modeling and Simulation tool development, etc…), proposal/RFP/BOE/bidding, department employee talent development, participates in strategy sessions to augment department staffing capabilities, work with HR partners to ensuring diversity within the organization, implement/sustain R6S within the department and to ensure the overall successful execution of all aspect of department activities.
The successful candidate will possess career experience and demonstrated technical acumen in tactical radar product technologies associated with complex Radar capabilities, such as electronically steered array (ESA) antennas, transmitters and receiver exciters (REXs), radar digital signal processing electronics, pointing and stabilization measurement instruments and control algorithms, and radar algorithm/mode techniques associated with A/A modes, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), and Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI). The candidate will also provide Systems Engineering Leadership to develop novel Multifunction RF solutions by leading section managers,leveraging core capabilities and identifying opportunities for innovation across Systems Engineering.
