The Commercial, Civil, and Strategic Space Department is seeking a Digital Engineering Lead to support a government satellite program.

Raytheon Technologies has prime-level ownership of the entire satellite system, inclusive of space, ground, and launch segments.

Accordingly, the digital engineering environment must account for all internal and external interfaces and dependencies, including interactions with customers and suppliers.

The roles and responsibilities of the Digital Engineering Lead include: • Implementing a digital engineering environment that will enable rapid, efficient, and agile collaboration and program execution • Utilizing model-based systems engineering tools and practices • Developing training plans and material to train team members in the use of digital engineering tools

Required Skills:

• 10+ years prior relevant experience

• Experience working space systems engineering • Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Rhapsody, Cameo, Magic Draw, or Vitec CORE, for developing architectures and functional analysis • Experience using digital engineering tools to increase efficiencies and decrease costs • Experience with requirements validation and verification • Experience working with multi-disciplined teams • Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic multi-disciplinary environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus • Ability to build strong relationships with program internal and external customers • Capable of effectively working in a team environment, often under tight deadlines • Demonstrated desire to successfully pursue new challenges, improve and broaden technical skills, seek greater responsibilities, and increase individual value to the organization • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance within one year of hire

Desired Skills:

• Experience generating interface control documents (ICDs) and system architecture description documents using MBSE tools • Ability to teach use of digital engineering and MBSE tools to team members • Experience with satellite systems • Experience with SEIT tools such as STK, MATLAB, C++, and Python • Prior technical leadership experience • Experience working with government customers • Knowledge of US Export/Import law in regards to space technologies

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline

Desired Education:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline

* U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain DoD Secret U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date*
