Raytheon Technologies Electronic Warfare Systems Product Line Chief Engineer in El Segundo, California
The Electronic Warfare Systems Product Line Chief Engineer (EW PLCE) position has the responsibility of ensuring the technical integrity and successful execution of all EW pursuits, IRADs, and programs. This position provides the single engineering execution point of contact for the EWS Engineering Product Line Executive, Product Line's internal and external customers, Program Managers, all Engineering Disciplines, other Functional Managers and is responsible for successful engineering execution within the entire EW Product Line. Additionally the PLCE manages an organization of Program Area Chief Engineers assigned to each program area within the Product Line. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure technical/engineering integrity of all aspects of the EW Product Line across all sites that execute EW.
Provide the technical leadership and direction, and work with PACEs to resolve technical challenges by ensuring robust design processes are followed, and that the engineering staff is available and capable of executing to established cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
Work closely with Engineering Product Line Executive, Program Directors, and Engineering leadership to ensure technology, engineering resources, and planning are available to allow the business to meet the Product Line's current and future AOP requirements. Support Product Line processes including EACs, Gates, Ops reviews, and financial reviews.
Provide and coordinate the strategic vision and direction for improvements of engineering activities required to achieve success within the Product Line.
Support the EWS Engineering Product Line Executive in interactions and coordination with other RI&S Engineering organizations.
Minimum of 14 years of related experience.
Must have industry experience in the electronic warfare business
Must have a broad engineering background that includes technical leadership of engineers and scientists.
Experience in program management activities including working knowledge of EVMS.
Position requires a current Top Secret SSBI.
EW leadership and/or line engineering management experience.
Raytheon PACE experience highly desired
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage geographically diverse development teams
BS in Engineering, Math, Science or related discipline; advanced degree(s) preferred.
