Raytheon Technologies Material Program Manager in El Segundo, California

The Material Program Manager (MPM) is an excellent leader with demonstrated project management skills. The candidate for this position must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program goals, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal organization, including supplier management.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans for a program in the Raytheon Intelligence and Space(RIS) business unit. The MPM will serve as the liaison between the Program Director, Program Managers, IPT’s and Supply Chain organization. The role is responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of program material strategies, supply chain goals, and company goals including supplier and financial administration. The MPM will support program supply chain activities, and will advise the Business Unit SCM Director and Sr. Manager as well as the program management office leadership team on material strategies, plans and performance. The candidate may lead front end of the business SCM activities including early supply chain management involvement and early supplier involvement. The position requires a person who will be able to exert influence and have an effect on the overall targets and long-range goals of the programs and the program IPT team.

The MPM may work across multiple programs within Space Systems depending on the size and complexity of the programs. The candidate must be able to work with administration and internal customers, including Program Office, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Contracts. The MPM is the acknowledged authority on all supply chain issues and their impact on the company programs. The effective candidate will have excellent analytic, business and relationship developing skills.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•Responsible to the customer and program management to meet all material contract goals (technical, cost, quality and schedule)

•Develop and lead supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that match the PTW strategies

•Responsible for extensive customer communications and developing customer relationships

•Reporting, tracking, and managing of an integrated product team and/or program responsible for the delivery of procured material from the suppliers, through external testing, and shipment to its contractual destination

•Resolve material shipment and/or data issues with the program office and customer

•Work collaboratively with all other functions to ensure that cost estimates and EACs are accurate, processes are being followed, and staffing is appropriate for implementation.

•Conduct material contract closure activity together with Contracts and Program Office

•Establish material priorities across the IPT and/or program

•Provide comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable. Key activities typically include: financial administration (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, material sales forecasts, etc.)

•Overall ownership of the supplier administration process (i.e., Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance, Small Business plan development and implementation, metrics, international issues, develop/evaluate the MB/MW plan, the Collaborative Agreement process, etc.), and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.

•Act as the Control Account Manager (CAM) or supports the assigned CAM

Required Skills:

•Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in Supply Chain, Supplier Management or Project/Program Management

•Leading in cross-functional environment or teams

•Data analysis and reporting

•Translating customer terms and conditions into supplier requirements and reviewing statements of work for completeness and conformance to program requirements

•Developing & executing Risk/Opportunity plans to meet program goals

•Interfacing with external customers and all levels of internal management

•Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills

Desired Skills:

•Work experience in Supply Chain within the Aerospace & Defense industry

•Experience in earned value management and data analysis

•Supplier management experience

•Demonstrated planning skills for both short-term requirements and long-term opportunities

•Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills

•Knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations

•Experience achieving goals in an matrix environment
