Raytheon Technologies Principal Financial Analyst in El Segundo, California

The Raytheon Secure Information Systems (SIS) business in El Segundo, CA is seeking a highly motivated Program Cost Control Financial Analyst to develop a group of programs in this exciting and growing commercial business area. SIS is part of the Tactical Communication Systems (TCS) product line within the Integrated Communication Systems Mission Area. This business area has experienced significant growth over the past several years and is projecting annual revenues in the $300m+range. The candidate will work closely with program managers and all functional groups including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations. The candidate will also interact with the SIS key team members and will be expected to fully support PMs and the program team members. The candidate will have the aptitude to provide analysis and clearly communicate potential concerns. The analyst will also have an excellent background in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with the ability to provide analysis which can help guide the program team to a realistic forecast and executable plan.

The role includes executing financial forecasts, quarterly Estimate at Completion (EAC), earned value management activities, historical cost analysis, and other program financial control activities. The candidate should also understand and operate within Raytheon’s internal processes and policies. The candidate will need to be able to communicate effectively with all levels of administration, operate in an enthusiastic and adaptable environment, and effectively partner across functions to accomplish targets.

The candidate should have excellent critical thinking abilities, as well as effective communication and impact across the various functions of the program. The selected candidate should look to motivate and collaborate with fellow finance analysts as well as other SIS team members, to ensure big picture alignment on executing the business plan and achieving financial commitments. For the rightperson, there will be opportunities for future development and leadership roles in the overall succession planning of the SIS Finance Team.

This position will require the ability to access US only data systems and documents.

Required Skills: • 6 years of related Finance experience • Excellent financial analysis & planning skills at the project level (Bookings, Sales, Profit, Cash) • Understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of program cash flow including forecasting, billing types, delivery and

collection cycles • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Excellent spreadsheet skills are required • Analytical, problem solving, and meaningful communication skills • Deep sense of commitment to meeting deadlines • Ability to manage multiple priorities; works under minimal direction • Ability to work with and communicate seamlessly with manager(s) and program personnel

Desired Skills: • Experience with commercial model and FAR part12 • Understanding and excellent working knowledge of applicable business and accounting systems, including

SAP/APEX/PRISM/BW/Rplan/ACES • Understanding and thorough working knowledge in the following areas: Financial and business planning, proposal process, project

set-up, program baselining, scheduling, budgeting, EAC process, EVMS tools and techniques, IOT, contract closeouts, BOE

development • Works under minimal direction

Required Education: • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
