Raytheon Technologies Senior Electrical Engineer I - Aperture Products in El Segundo, California
The RF/Microwave Systems and Products Engineer will be responsible for participating in the development of state-of-the-art antennas. This position is within the Hardware Engineering Center (HWEC) Airborne RADAR Electronics Department in El Segundo, CA. The primary role for this individual will be to perform analysis, verification, and testing for RF/Microwave components used in phased array antennas. Individual must have experience in microwave measurement and verification techniques with working knowledge of simulation tools and microwave test equipment. The RF/Microwave Systems and Products Engineer will have knowledge and experience in simulating circuits and systems. The successful candidate will be capable of making technical presentations to peers, program leadership, and customers and assist program management in new business development.
Minimum five years of experience simulating, testing, integrating, verifying, or validating RF/Microwave products.
Experience with using any of Keysight SystemVue, Keysight ADS, NI LabView, or Matlab Simulink.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain a (DOD Secret) U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date.
Specific design experience with one or more of the following products (phased array antennas, modules, beam formers, power splitters, feed networks, couplers, filters, circulators, RF modules/assemblies).
Experience with microwave test equipment and calibration techniques especially use of a vector network analyzer; or experience in antenna range testing.
Experience with antenna range test techniques.
Writing acceptance requirements and test plans.
Hardware experience at microwave and millimeter-wave frequencies.
Current DoD Secret or Top Secret Clearance
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. A Bachelor's degree is required. Advanced degrees preferred. A STEM degree is required (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar equivalent STEM discipline).
