Job Description:

Raytheon Intelligence & Space is the provider of advanced electrical scanned radar sensor systems for the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18 Aircraft (APG-79(V)1 and (V)4 AESA), the Air Force’s F/A-15 Aircraft (APG-82 AESA), Air Force's B-52 (APG-79), and a Gen 5.x Family of Systems (FOS) set of solutions. The AESA Systems provides the war fighter with the most accurate and timely information available for the network-centric battlefield.

Instrumentation products group is seeking an experienced Senior Systems engineer that will be responsible for design, develop, integrate, test, document and debug instrumentation application software under VxWorks, and/or Green Hills Integrity OS environment using C/C++ programming language. The applicant will integrate the software with hardware unit and perform verification testing in the lab environment. The applicant will also work in the Radar Integration Lab and support the development and testing of advanced radar systems.

Required Skills:

  • 5 plus years of experience in software programming in C/C++ language, and software integration with hardware

  • 5 plus years of experience in high speed data transfer protocol (Gbit Ethernet, Fibre Channel and RS232/RS422)

  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware/software integration problems

  • Experience with lab test equipment (Function Generator, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Multi Meter and various Power Supply)

  • Experience in documentation requirements specification generation (Requirements specification, SW documentation, unit Test Plan, and Acceptance Test Procedure)

  • Ability to handle a dynamic environment, demonstrates initiative and work independently towards program goals

  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team, providing technical and schedule status to management, customers and fellow team members

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

    Desired Skills:

  • Working experience with Intel or similar multi core processors, and hardware interfaces

  • Working experience with device drive implementation

  • Working knowledge in FPGA interfaces

  • Familiar with data bus interface such as: VME, PCI, PCIe, and VPX

  • Familiar with radar system integration and test

    Required Education:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

    Desired Education:

  • Master of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

    U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
