Raytheon Technologies Senior Systems Engineer II in El Segundo, California
The Advanced Capabilities and Experiments (ACE) team is growing its talented technical staff. In addition to contributing as a team member, candidate will also have near-term and long-term opportunities to contribute as technical team leads, IPTLs, and Chief Engineers.
Complete engineering tasks as a member of a small, agile, multi-disciplinary team
Support all phases of engineering product development (requirements specification, design, implementation, test, verification, maintenance), under the guidance of senior team members, in a manner that meets cost, schedule, and technical requirements
Contribute to the development of new ideas, new approaches, and new capabilities.
Clearly communicate plans, status, and issues to teammates and program leadership.
Work with the Advanced Capabilities and Experiments (ACE) team in El Segundo, California
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment
Minimum Six (6) years of engineering experience (Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, and/or System Development/Integration/Test)
In-scope Top Secret, ability to obtain SAP (Special Access Program) access
Strong technical writing skills for documentation of designs, plans, and procedures
Ability to communicate and collaborate well across different teams and disciplines
Demonstrated track record of team oriented success employing strong technical and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Matlab
Prior experience working in Special Access Program environments
Experience with requirements development and decomposition, design, integration, lab testing, flight testing and requirements verification
Experience with waveform design and signal processing
Experience with target tracking and estimation theory
Experience in adaptive resource management design
Experience in algorithm design and performance prediction tools
Understanding of Antenna patterns, main lobe transmission, and side/back lobe levels
Experience working in a RSIL lab environment
Understanding of C/C++ or other similar high level programming language
Experience with analog or digital RF hardware design, test, troubleshooting, and repair
Interest in long term participation on a team to become a critical asset/subject matter expert
Minimum completed Bachelors of Science Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) field.
