Raytheon Technologies Sr Analyst, Security in El Segundo, California

This is a multi-discipline Industrial Security position supporting an assigned program or program group within Raytheon Intelligence & Space. Supports security business needs of assigned program(s) in accordance with applicable USG regulations, contractual, customer and company requirements. This individual is responsible to execute day-to-day security activities as the embedded security professional; administers and maintains a comprehensive security program in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Required to collaborate frequently with all levels of program leadership, business partners and stakeholders. Maintains positive communication channels and relationships with Government customer personnel.

Acts as Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) for all aspects of program security to include contracts, proposals, Gate and security policy reviews, supporting fast-paced, high-visibility programs. Creates, maintains and leverages working relationships with internal and external customers, peers, and senior management to accomplish security objectives. Utilizes excellent writing, organizational, communication, problem-solving skills. Is detail oriented. Remains current on NISPOM, program Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Program Protection Plans (PPPs), Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254s), contract Statement of Work (SOW) and related security guidance in support of assigned program(s). Participates in development, update, and implementation of company security policies and procedures.

Provides security deliverables with minimal supervision

  • Program security status – weekly and monthly

  • Security review status (internal and external)

  • Initial, refresher, and programmatic security briefings

  • Security Debriefings

  • Synthesis and communicate security guidance to internal audiences

  • Interpret security requirements across all NISP security domains

  • Conduct security self-inspections, and prepare for DCSA inspections/annual reviews

  • Conduct safe inspections and annual classified material inventories

  • Document findings and formulate corrective actions

  • Conduct investigations and submit reports

    Daily security transactions include handling, receiving, controlling, storing, inventorying, transferring, tracking and disposition of material and equipment in accordance with government directives and company procedures. Provide written reports as needed for internal and external customers.


  • U.S. Citizenship is required

  • Must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain a minimum level of a SECRET security clearance issued by the federal government

  • Experience implementing NISPOM (DoD 5220.22-M/32 CFR Part 117), Director of Central Intelligence Directives (DCID), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) to industrial security programs

  • Experience working in closed/secure areas

  • Experience using MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Eagerness to adapt to and excel in a diverse, fast-paced environment

  • Use tact, discretion, and diplomacy in dealing with all levels of employees and customers

  • Ability to align, plan, schedule and execute activities to accomplish objectives

  • Refined teaming skills and understanding of team concepts ​

  • Willing to travel to support the business and program functions as needed by the customer (<10%)

    Required Education:

  • High school diploma and 10 years directly related working experience or

  • Associate degree and 4 years directly related working experience or

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years directly related working experience

    Desired Skills:

  • Ability obtain and maintain a Top Secret w/SCI eligibility clearance

  • Experience working in a Special Access Program (SAP) and/or Sensitive Compartment information (SCI) environment

  • Experience reviewing Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254’s)

  • Experience with developing and implementing Program Protection Implementation Plans (PPIP’s)

  • Experience using DISS and NISS

  • COMSEC experience

  • Direct experience planning, leading and/or maintaining a successful industrial security program

  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems with ambiguous and/or incomplete information

  • Self-starter comfortable with minimal supervision

  • Good interpersonal skills and professional demeanor

  • 10+ years of National Security or related military experience preferred

    Desired Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Security Management, Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or related field of study

  • Related training through the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE)

  • CDSE Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC)

  • Industrial Security Professional (ISP®) certification

  • This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
