Raytheon Technologies Sr Contract Negotiator in El Segundo, California
Raytheon Intelligence & Space currently has a need for a Senior Contracts Negotiator within the Advanced Electronic Attack (AEA) product line under the Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) mission area. This position shall be located in El Segundo, CA.
Travel may be required to Buena Park, CA to support various withheld contracts at this facility.
The primary responsibility will be to support the day to day activities of the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) EMD and LRIP programs, the Advanced Programs portfolio within AEA (IDIQs, BOAs, etc.), and also support various withheld programs out of the Airborne Information Operations (AIO) product line at the Buena Park, CA facility.
The Senior Contract Negotiator will be responsible for contract management of all aspects of the contracting process including proposal preparation, fact finding, negotiation, contract administration, and contract closure.
A significant aspect of this role will focus on product line growth and supporting the development of various proposals and capture activities.
It is expected that the Senior Contract Negotiator will proactively engage with program teams and customers to ensure that the program is always executing within its contract requirements (including cost objectives, schedule requirements for deliverables, terms and conditions, and statement of work requirements).
The Senior Contract Negotiator will use sound business acumen and program knowledge to understand program performance, provide guidance, recommendations, and influence outcomes to achieve desired results.
This role requires the skill to recognize contractual issues early in program performance in order to develop recommendations to implement solutions, carry them to completion, while exercising good judgement with minimal supervision.
This individual will be required to adhere to company policies and procedures.
The Senior Contract Negotiator will work a variety of business agreements, such as proprietary information agreements, and will be required to interact closely with senior management.
The individual will negotiate sound business deals with its customers and provide governance to the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract / proposal. It is expected that this individual will also be required to apply the tenets of Raytheon’s principles to establish and maintain effective customer relationships while being professional, responsive, and ethical.
Minimum of 6 years of professional contracts or related experience
4+ years applicable work experience in US government contracts - contracts, supply chain and or finance
Knowledge of International Commercial Terms, ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFARS
Experience developing solutions to unusual and complex contracting issues
Experience researching compliance issues, applicable regulations and laws as well as experience formulating recommendations to management
Experience establishing pre-negotiation goals and negotiation skills to realize targets
Ability to work in a team environment with customers and peers
Experience with contracts types: CPFF, FFP, FPI or T&M
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point
Experience with production contracts, development contracts, obsolescence management, and foreign military sales
Experience with USG financing plans and provisions
Experience supporting cost proposals
Active Top Secret clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Bachelor’s Degree in Contracts, Business Administration, Business Law, Finance or related discipline
Master’s Degree in Contracts, Business Administration, Business Law, Finance or related discipline
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
