Inspector Electro-Optomechanical Senior
The effective candidate will make progressive and final inspection of any optical or optomechanical device, and any associated electronics which may or may not be an integral part of the device.
*Position to support the circuit card assembly area in the El Segundo, CA factory on 2nd Shift. *
U.S. Citizenship required as the candidate must have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance within first year of start date.
Works from engineering drawings and specifications and/or preliminary information, oral and written instructions
Exercises technical judgment in the use of optomechanical or electrical inspection instruments to obtain desired results
Recommends methods and develops sequence of operations to inspect and collimate optical and optomechanical devices and associated electronics
Performs special inspection investigations working with engineering personnel
Records and reduces inspection and test data as required, prepares reports, and maintains records
May provide assistance to personnel in lower related job classifications
Meets necessary certifications as required
Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required
Ability to work different shifts as required to include; first, second, third, special- overtime on some weekends.
Aerospace background in a company certified to AS9100
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation
First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 experience
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in (MS Office, Excel)
Basic computer experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), shop floor control systems including online interfaces to websites and Adobe pdf. Files
5 years’ experience in the use of precision measurement tools including calibration
5 years’ experience with dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5M-1994
5 years’ experience with J-STD-001 SPACE or IPC-610 certification and visual inspection of all aspects of circuit card assembly - class 3
Possess an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification: Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) Certified
Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).
High School Diploma, or Equivalent
