Raytheon Intelligence & Space’s (RIS) West Region Manufacturing & Depot Centers is seeking a Sr. Manager of Manufacturing Excellence and Business Transformation. The ideal candidate for this position is a problem solver, change agent and strategist. This position will help architect a program for the next generation of programs and products, including where manufacturing needs to be in the future, how factories support the next generation of products, and define investments and special capabilities to get us there. The West Region includes multiple unique factories and this position will help define roadmaps for each factory and across the region.

The West Region Manufacturing Excellence and Business Transformation leader will partner closely with factory General Managers and their teams to implement common operating systems, troubleshoot problems, identify opportunities to increase factory productivity, advance factory cultures, and lead other large scale change efforts to increase regional factory performance in alignment with business priorities.

This position is also responsible for infrastructure for the Space & C2 Systems product line. This includes partnership with program and product line stakeholders and program operations to ensure a consistent approach to facilities, capital planning, and capital expense. Key responsibilities includes:

  • Strategic planning for the factory of the future

  • Infrastructure planning for Space & C2 product line

  • Lead large scale initiatives to develop capabilities for next generation manufacturing processes and products

  • Deployment of a common RIS operating system across the region; lead efforts to promote standardization and integration across regional factories, as appropriate

  • Regional portfolio analysis including make buy where

  • Regional productivity dashboards; including improvement methodology

  • Regional roadmaps, investments, and optimization of footprint

  • Ensure alignment with RIS Operations strategy

  • This position may lead a small team in the future

Required skills:

  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience

  • Experience guiding in an operations, manufacturing, program, cross-functional, or equivalent environment

  • Collaborative and influential leader with experience motivating large scale change efforts

  • Ability to develop strategic plans and implement strategy to meet business growth objectives

  • Ability to quickly identify root cause of issues & recommend correction action along with lessons learned

  • Change agent who passionately stands up and takes action, is very high energy and possesses a deep sense of urgency

  • Lean manufacturing expertise

  • Excellent business acumen and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrate initiative, perseverance and creativity in problem solving

  • Ability to work across geographical boundaries

  • Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills

  • Ability to travel domestically

  • Ability to Obtain Secret Level Clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance with 1 year of start date

Desired skills:

  • Six Sigma Expert Certification or equivalent

  • Existing Secret or Top Secret clearance

Required Education:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university /college

Desired Education:

Master's Degree from an accredited university /college in Engineering, Math, Science or related degree178874
