Raytheon Technologies Sr Prin Systems Engineer, IPT Lead in El Segundo, California
Raytheon Intelligence & Space is seeking an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for Raytheon Advanced Concepts and Technology Department’s Gen 6 Open Architecture System. The IPT Lead will manage a multi-disciplinary group of engineers. The IPT Lead develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards. The IPT Lead achieves milestones on-time and within allotted budget while managing his/her staff. He/she solves issues that impede program progress, allowing core staff to concentrate on their Work Products at hand. He/she will be responsible for completing financial Estimate at Complete (EAC), program Gate reviews, and facilitate independent Peer reviews of all Work Products. He/she will also participate in new business activities including proposals, preparing bids, and developing basis of estimates.
The IPT Lead shall act independently, guided only by very broad company policies and objectives. The IPT Lead shall be able to apply advanced principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems which requires coordination of technologies across program requirements. The IPT Lead shall lead briefings and technical meetings for internal and external stakeholders / customers. The IPT Lead shall create a roadmap and strategy for future variants of the Gen 6 Open Architecture System to meet future requirements across mission areas and platforms. This product roadmap and strategy shall be coordinated with the business and functional technical directors. This position is located in El Segundo, CA.
At least four years of demonstrated project leadership including cost, schedule, and technical responsibility of complex military electronics subsystems
Earned Value / Control Account Manager Certified
Experience developing and maintaining complex integrated master schedules
Experience with developing technical baselines and cost volumes in response to Request for Proposals from the government
Ability to obtain higher levels of security clearance including special access
Minimum of 10 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years with a Master’s degree or 6 years with a PhD
Experience with one of the following areas related to radar systems: search or track, surveillance, reconnaissance, electronic protection, ID, or adaptive techniques
Understanding of airborne radar systems and their principals of architecture, design, development, requirements, I&T, Operation, or Flight Test
U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date
Existing DoD Secret clearance
Experience with advanced RF processing techniques such as adaptive filtering, space-time adaptive processing (STAP), synthetic aperture radar (SAR)
Experience in data analysis and mathematical problem solving
Experience with moving from initial concept to architecture then design
Experience with development best practices/frameworks, e.g., Agile, DevSecOps
Experience with model based system engineering principles and tools (Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody, and the like)
Experience in writing ICDs and IDDs
Experience generating requirements and requirement documents, performing requirements analysis
Required Education (including Major):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalen t
