Working in a team-oriented environment, the Engineering Co-op Student will assist the Design, Stress and Product Engineering teams in supporting activities ensuring on-going airworthiness of the landing gear product. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Co-op Student will support all active programs under the scope of of the Everett Engineering group .

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supporting creating/modifying/investigating designs of landing gear structure

  • Reading/creating 2D drawings and also preparing 3D models as necessary

  • Supporting the structural evaluation of landing gear components via strength and fatigue analysis using classical calculations and FEA methods

  • Supporting product engineering with design changes and modification, as well as

  • Supporting manufacturing engineering on operations related activities

  • Supporting any other general engineering related activities

  • Knowledge in the fields of CAD, CNC Manufacturing, Solid Mechanics, Stress Analysis, Aerospace Materials, and Computer Programming are required to perform effectively in this position.

  • Since this position will require interaction with other engineers in the engineering Group, and engineers from other disciplines, an individual with excellent communication skills is required.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office programs, including Word and Excel. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and CATIA is an asset

  • Successful candidates must meet all requirements under ITAR & CCGP as well as be eligible to work in the US

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
