This position is for an experienced Supplier Quality & Development Leader ensuring Collins Aerospace supplier products and processes are compliant with internal and regulatory standards. This position will be based in Everett, Washington.
Manage supplier quality issues through monitoring / escalation processes, escape management, processing of supplier submission of non-conforming material and supporting internal MRB processes
Initiates part specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions.
Supports supplier qualification / certification
Manages source inspection and material release processes
Performs Escape management procedures, drives root cause analysis & problem solving (e.g., 8D) and recommends corrective and preventive action for systemic process and product design problems for product provided by suppliers
Supports Corrective Action Boards with suppliers
Proactively supports the Collins Aerospace Supplier Performance program to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability
If supplier is underperforming, this person will be responsible to use Zero Defect Program (ZDP) formatted tools for supplier improvement activities
Analyzes quality data to identify systemic issues and develops supplier specific quality initiative strategies and addresses with key proactive quality tools (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC, etc.), driving their implementation
Ensures supplier is capable to meet all requirements for work transfer and process change management including resourcing gate and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering or Special Processes
Expert in causal analysis and associated problem-solving tools
Experience in FAI, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP
Experience with SAP preferred
Willing to travel up to 50%
