Primary Responsibilties:

Receiving:

  • Offload pallets from delivery trucks.

  • Breakdown and organize boxes per line number.

  • SEATS: Remove “Shipping Report” paperwork from the box and leave the remaining paperwork. Verify part /serial numbers. Restack seats onto pallet in consecutive line numbers.

  • SLIDES: Remove “Packing List” paperwork from the box. Verify part and serial number. Write Boeing line number on paper and tape onto pallet. No breakdown needed.

  • LIT POCKETS: Remove “Packing List” paperwork from the box. Verify part and serial number. Write part number and Boeing ODD on box for visual reference. Reinsert packing list to the box. No breakdown needed.

  • Stack pallets on to shelving racks.

Loading:

SEATS:

  • Remove pallet from shelving rack and place on open floor area. Remove paperwork (packlist/C of C) from box and set aside temporarily.

  • Open box on top end and remove headrest(s) onto the Boeing cart.

  • Remove blue tape w/ seat information and set aside. Cut the flaps from the box and discard.

  • Removed attendant seat from the box and load onto the Boeing cart (seat facing out). Place blue tape onto seat for ID reference.

  • Discard the rest of the packaging.

  • Repeat steps above until all parts for the line number are loaded.

  • Assign paperwork to the correct parts/carts. Verify the part/serial number matches.

  • Reference paperwork section below to complete Boeing shipping manifest paperwork. (777 Seats Only)

SLIDES:

  • Remove pallet from shelving rack and place on open floor area. Remove line number paper from slide onto the Boeing cart.

  • Open blue box and search for paperwork (packet, pack list, and C of C). Verify part/serial number matches the blue tag on the girt bar. Remove blue tag and reposition tag on the opposite side of the girt bar. Place paperwork on top of Boeing cart.

  • Remove slide from blue box and place into Boeing cart. Strap/buckle the slide into place.

  • Repeat steps above.

  • Reference paperwork section below to complete Bill of Lading paperwork.

LIT POCKETS:

  • Remove paperwork (packlist/C of C) from box and place into pouch on the blue bag. On a separate paper, write part number/BODD and place into pouch.

  • Load Lit Pockets into blue bag. If needed, load remaining lit pockets into another bag. Record bag as “2 of 2” if done.

  • Write the quantity of each bag on masking tape and place onto blue bag.

  • Reference paperwork section below to complete Boeing shipping manifest paperwork.

Teardown:

SEATS & LIT POCKETS:

  • Breakdown boxes and discard into bale compactor.

  • Discard foam packaging/banding straps into trash.

  • Discard clear plastic into plastic bale compactor.

SLIDES:

  • Open 1st blue box and remove foam packaging. Breakdown blue box and fold in half.

  • Open 2nd blue box and remove foam packaging.

  • Breakdown foam packaging into individual pieces.

  • Pack all foam pieces into 2nd blue box. (Further instructions to come)

  • Repeat steps above until a total of 4 blue boxes are repacked.

  • Place folded blue boxes onto pallet. Stack 4 blue boxes on top of pallet.

  • Band pallet with metal straps.

  • Create Bill of Lading for Old Dominion. Tape shipping address to each pallet. Contact Old Dominion for pickup before 1:30PM.

  • 777 Seats and Lit Pockets – Boeing Shipping Manifest

  • Record shipping from and to addresses.

  • Record PO Number, # of pieces, aircraft line number, number of carts, and Boeing On Dock Date (BODD).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates for this role should possess a Requires theoretical knowledge typically obtained through University Degree.

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree or three years of prior relevant experience.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excel proficiency

  • SAP work experience

Safety Considerations:

  • Cardinal Rules Training

  • Forklift Certification

  • Safety glasses are required on the shop floor. PPE is provided.

  • Steel-toed shoes are not required on shop floor, however they will be required to work in the Interiors POU area. All parts loaded are 35 pounds or heavier and steel-toed shoes must be worn to operate the forklift.
