We are currently seeking an experienced Plumber to support our Facilities Maintenance team onsite at the Harold E Holt Naval Communications base. The plumber will perform maintenance, repair and renovation work in office and industrial facilities. Work will be performed on wastewater systems, drains, waste and vent pipes, and underground water and waste water piping.

Key Responsibilities

  • All aspects of plumbing and drainage maintenance requirements

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a range of utilities equipment, installation, repairs and maintenance of pipes, fixtures and other plumbing infrastructure

  • Ensure on a regular basis that all work orders are completed and entered correctly into our in-house database

  • Provide incident and event reports to management on a regular basis

  • Follow the Lock Out Tag Out process

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum Certificate III Plumbing Qualification and Tradesperson Certificate with current certification in Plumbing and Gas fitting

  • Demonstrated experience installing, repairing and maintaining domestic, commercial and industrial water and wastewater systems and equipment

  • Current Drivers Licence

  • Confined Space Entry qualifications

  • Proven track record of meeting customer needs and ability to work independently as well as within a small team environment
