The Site SAP Production Planning and Material Management Subject Matter Expert must have a high degree of experience and practical understanding in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Materials Management (MM) in both commercial and military aerospace environments. The person in this role must possess the capability to analyze business and technical requirements; develop solutions to address the requirements; and provide industry subject matter expertise to site users to improve business processes and fully utilize SAP functionality.
Work closely with current site SAP PP / MM users and corporate SAP Integration Team to convert site onto new SAP instance.
Work with site users on continuous improvements: defining current state and desired future state, identifying gaps. (business processes; data configuration; data integrity)
Be a change agent, lead and facilitate improvements with site users to completion. Develop and execute actions to eliminate gaps, including developing training materials and providing training as necessary.
Work with and across all SAP functional areas, understanding MM/ PP integration with the other roles and assuring interdependent integrity.
Focus on the local site, coordinate and interact with others off site as required - business unit personnel and central SAP support team.
Work closely with Site SAP Lead continually improving and expanding our site's SAP utilization, and working with site SME's to address user's SAP questions, issues and concerns, elevating to, and coordinating with, central SAP support team as necessary for resolution.
Work with site SAP Lead to form and facilitate site team of cross functional subject matter experts (SME's) to define, review and evaluate each functional area's business processes and SAP interactions.
5+ years SAP user experience in PP and MM (Production Planning and Material Management)
5+ years manufacturing environment experience (SAP make-to-order manufacturing a plus)
SAP super-user in Production Planning and Material Management (PP/MM) modules, able to work with and across all SAP functional SAP threads
Strong knowledge and experience with Production Planning and Shop Floor execution
Good project management skills
Ability to lead a diverse team, setting and meeting goals and objectives
Ability to influence people to achieve a common objective
Experience in SAP Make-to-Order environment a plus
Experience on SAP implementation team (PP or MM member) a plus
Expert knowledge of SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) a plus
APICS certification (CPIM and/or CSCP), or actively pursuing, a plus
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required
