Are you a Digital/IT Commercial Sourcing Leader with Third Party Contract Experience? Raytheon Technologies has an opening for an Associate Director Digital and Sourcing Commercial Contracts role. 100% Telecommuting available.POSITION OVERVIEW Responsible for integrating all aspects of the digital/IT supply chain functions into Enterprise Services (ES) Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives through collaborating and partnering with suppliers, ES leaders, and functional service owners. A key component of the role is to develop supplier capabilities, partnerships and category strategies for enterprise applications from ES work stream leaders and business units (BUs). This leader will lead a small team within the Enterprise Software Partnership Services commodity area. The ideal candidate will draw from past experience with contract/subcontract management, category management, digital sourcing, digital procurement, contract negotiations and project management skills to lead the coordination, communication and integration of suppliers to support the achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives. This candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise application contracts with the ability to manage licensing, maintenance and support requirements. This leader will have a deep understanding of application rationalization, application portfolio management, application simplification and vendor consolidation strategies to drive year on year cost savings to help RTX meet its bottom line. As this is a fast paced environment, understanding of the implementation of SCRUM teams to facilitate execution is strongly desired. A deep understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, from contract negotiations, to requisition and PO placement is needed for this role. The leader continuously monitors and evaluates supplier metrics for trends and root causes and formulates proactive plans to ensure overall success of the category. Given the amount of contracts, this leader must be able to effectively employ project management skills to develop and manage an integrated master schedule to engagements and other activities.

Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Supports the IT Operations & Enterprise Software leader, DIT stakeholders in apps rationalization, apps portfolio management and vendor consolidation activities to drive contract year on year cost savings

  • Manages the entire Enterprise Software Partnership Services commodity area

  • Leads and drive negotiations

  • Establishes supplier engagement plans and enforce overall governance within portfolio

  • Develops and manages an integrated master schedule of engagements, renewals, RFQs, etc.

  • Lead team to develop all supplier performance reviews, benchmarks & reporting

    Skills : Minimum 10 years in Digital/IT Commercial Sourcing arena preferred

  • Experience with sourcing roles and functions, including creating sourcing roadmaps, developing category strategies, licensing/asset management, risk management, action item management, requirement change management, metrics management, and category management

  • Strong negotiations and sourcing skills with understanding of different contract types (FFP, LOE, T&M, etc.)

  • Ability to effectively communicate, execute and manage contracts that meet technical, cost, and schedule goals

  • Must possess strong collaboration skills enabling effective communication and demonstrated business results working internally with functional service owners in Enterprise Services and across business units, as well as externally with suppliers

  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial information, budgets and program performance and develop strategies and business cases to improve performance in these areas

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and lead a small team through dynamic changes

    Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of staff augmentation and digital services work as it relates to applications development and management a plus

  • Strong project management skills and ability to convert requirements into executable strategies, and ability to develop and manage an integrated master schedule

  • Ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team

  • Ability to develop effective presentations and documents used for leadership reviews

  • Understanding of staff augmentation and digital services work as it relates to applications development and management a plus

    Education Requirements:

    Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 8 years experience
