Summary of Role:This position will be responsible for working closely with the Optimus Datacenter Workstream Lead to drive RTX’s Datacenter strategy, transition, and transformation programs. This position requires critical business acumen in driving large scale programs across multiple Business Units, Enterprise Infrastructure Service, Enterprise applications and Cyber. Key ownership in leading the entire RTX Datacenter program and related projects within the program to full support with great value add to the Enterprise Infrastructure Service business and to RTX. This senior role will manage a team of program and technical project managers who will execute against the Datacenter strategy, Optimus program, and all sub-programs through successful design creation, engineering implementation, and operations. Responsibilities:
Datacenter Strategy, Transition & Transformation:
Work with the Service Line Executive Director, Project Sponsors and PMO Director to determine the roadmap, timeline and the prioritization of the projects within the program
Meet regularly with PMO Director and Workstream Lead to review the program – projects, budget, issues and risks, and to consistently improve process and efficiency
Establish partnership with BU focals, Infrastructure, Cyber, and Application leads, Workstream and Project Sponsors
Manage program and project interdependencies and cross-departmental interactions and dependencies, in particular working with the Optimus Network, Cyber, Business Units, and App Remediation teams
Initiate review structure and cadence of projects to ensure realization of financial and operational benefits
Resources and Team:
Manage core staff of project managers aligned to the service line,.e.g. workload, timesheets, etc.
Responsible for identifying hiring needs, working with the PMO Director and the Datacenter Workstream Lead on funding for new roles, and recruiting new project managers to the portfolio team
Evaluate project managers monthly, provides mentoring and training to improve the project management discipline within the tower
Prior experience in project management related role(s)
Must have experience in Datacenters and program management

- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
