The Planning and Production Control Manager is fully responsible for leading production control teams that are assigned to factories and value streams within the Make Center. This Leader provides direction in areas of policy for material and inventory management, material requirements planning, data integrity, data analytics and data management. This Manager will be responsible for setting the standard and driving operational excellence and consistency throughout the organization as aligned within Planning and Production Control and Operations.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Daily interaction and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals and objectives. These teams include: Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing/test/design engineering, facilities, finance and Program Management
Responsible for achieving/exceeding safety, delivery, material/inventory management and on-time delivery goals
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement/factory dynamics projects and initiatives
Support development of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure and drive continuous improvement
Responsible for workforce planning and forecasting as well as EAC budget management
Responsible for employee recruitment, development, training, accountability and performance assessment
MRP, Inventory Management, JIT Concepts
Ability to critically think and use analytical skills to ensure detailed status is provided to the Value Stream Manager, Program and Factory Teams
Ability to mentor and develop team members
Ability to contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work some OT and odd hours
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
High computer literacy with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience as follows: Master’s is equal to 2 years of experience or a Ph.D. is equal to 4 years of experience.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field
Eight (8) years’ total combined experience in any of the following: Supply Chain, Production and/or and Planning Control, material requirements planning, Capacity Planning, Inventory Management, Master Production Scheduling or Delivery Administration.
Experience managing or leading both individuals and teams to include performance development in Supply Chain, Production and/or and Planning Control, material requirements planning, Capacity Planning, Inventory Management or Master Production Scheduling.
Experience in SAP/PRISM with material requirements planning, Master Scheduling, or inventory management or similar enterprise requirement planning.
Qualifications We Value:

Strong business acumen to proactively identify and resolve multiple issues quickly and efficiently
Experience operating independently to navigate organizational complexities and to obtain resources (through influence) to move initiatives forward
Experience with achieving alignment among key (internal and external) stakeholders
Experience in labor and material capacity planning/management to include constraint management in a manufacturing environment
Active DOD Security Clearance
