Raytheon Technologies Manager III EH&S in Forest, Mississippi

Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS) is seeking a successful candidate for this position to be responsible for managing the Environmental Health and Safety programs at the manufacturing facility in Forest, MS. The position will be responsible for 3 direct reports. The successful candidate will provide leadership, strategy, guidance and execution for developing, managing and implementing various site wide environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs, projects, processes and procedures. The individual should possess strong technical, strategic, organizational, communications and team-building skills to ensure strong, high performing EHS programs are in place and sustainable. Candidate will be responsible for driving best practices and site maturity to maintain OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) certification. The position will report to the RIS, East Region EHS manager.

Required Skills:

  • 10 years of experience in environmental health and safety

  • Significant experience managing programs in environmental, health or safety

  • Working knowledge and experience with federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations

  • Experience diagnosing complex compliance operations and issues, responding to environmental, health or safety issues involving multiple organizations, and implementation of practical and effective solutions in a timely manner

  • Proven ability to successfully communicate to all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with database and use of other information gathering systems

  • Ability to lead teams with excellent supervisor skills and proven ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.

  • Participates in management review meetings to present EH&S performance, discuss upcoming EH&S actions to improve functional performance, and proactively identify and address EH&S issues that may affect operations or may provide strategic advantage to the business.

  • Excellent organizational, customer service, communication, presentation skills and teaming skills.

  • Ability to plan organize, delegate and follow-up on work flow to meet departmental goals and objectives

  • Must have high professional an ethical standards and be accountable for quality of all work products.

  • U.S. citizenship status is required as this position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date

    Desired Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and programs and demonstrate effective prioritization and implementation skills

  • Solution-oriented mindset

  • Technical depth and knowledge in the specific safety area of Electromagnetic Energy

  • EHS professional certification (Certified Safety Professional and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist)

    Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, chemistry, biology, industrial/safety engineering, or related field

  • Desired Education: Master's Degree in environmental health and safety

    This position requires either a U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
