Raytheon Technologies Associate Director - SME RF Communications Design - EWS in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Raytheon Intelligence and Space seeks a Subject Matter Expert in RF Communications Design to join our RF design team as a technical expert located in our offices out of Fort Wayne, IN. This SME will act as the Lead engineer for RF circuit card assemblies on multiple military communications and electronic warfare programs.
The types of RF assemblies include receiver exciters, synthesizers, power amplifiers, and reference oscillators. Involved in the complete design cycle: requirements definition, circuit modeling, circuit validation, block diagram development, schematic capture, layout, test preparation, production support, design verification,
integration support, and environmental testing.
This position will establish and implement critical functional strategies in our EWS AIO business area. Responsible for operational plans for the electrical designs and technology. Our selected candidate will provide an impact on the achievement of results. Responsible for AIO EWS technology development and will
lead IRAD projects to deliver technically complex but producible products.
A minimum of 12 years’ experience in RF communications design engineering
Extensive theoretical, analytical, and practical knowledge in design and testing of high performance VHF/UHF/SHF circuitry intended for challenging applications
Proven ability to take a design concept at block diagram or requirements level and develop a completed hardware design
Extensive experience with Agilent Advanced Design System (ADS) or equivalent simulator and proven ability to use analytical tools to analyze and simulate designs prior to hardware execution
Experience with tolerance analysis and circuit design centering for production
Active knowledge of modern communications and counter communications systems
Experience in managing time and resources to meet assigned deadlines
Proficient with general purpose computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
US Citizenship is required as this position will require a DoD security clearance within 1 year of start date
Extensive knowledge in specifying, designing, and testing UHF/VHF/SHF receivers, exciters, synthesizers, and RF distribution circuits for Department of Defense Equipment
Experience with three dimensional electromagnetic simulation tools such as HFSS or CST Microwave Studio
Extensive knowledge of counter communication techniques
Knowledge and understanding of other engineering disciplines and how they relate to the design, development, and manufacturing of RF equipment
Built in Self-Test (BIT) expertise
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
