Pratt & Whitney is seeking a motivated and fleet experienced representative, to support the Lockheed Martin F-35 Hybrid Product Support Integration (HPSI) Global Operations Center (GOC) covering 2nd Shift (3:00-11:00pm CST). The F-35/F135 program is growing by 100 aircraft a year and you can be a part of the newest 5th Generation Warfighter Program. The HPSI Global Operations Center is the hub of activity and information for the F-35 program, and the individual hired into this position will have great exposure into how such a large military aviation program is sustained!

As the GOC representative, you will be a Pratt & Whitney propulsion representative for F135 fleet management and sustainment concerns supporting the warfighter.

You will work on a variety of tasks from daily needs of the fleet (supply chain, Action Request support, fleet management, etc.) to long term projects/goals to work on efficiency and improvements for the team in Fort Worth and the F135 Sustainment Team in Connecticut.

You will regularly work with the Connecticut based Fleet Management Center, Supply Chain Management, Data Management team and Field Service personnel around the world to drive issues to closure. Additionally you will work with Lockheed Martin and Joint Program Office (government) counterparts and military service members to ensure the warfighter is improving day-to-day.

This job will require an individual that works well in teams and is also self-sufficient, can solicit help from the field, handle themselves in a fast-paced environment, can multi-task and ultimately make program decisions which will affect the warfighter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the propulsion representative for F-35 Fleet issues, status and actions within the F-35 HPSI Global Operations Center.

  • Ensure that propulsion status of all NMC aircraft is communicated to leadership and act as main conduit of emerging data and issues to/from the F135 Fleet Management Center.

  • Support daily meetings; review of fleet issues, and in some cases host calls to drive certain topics to closure.

  • Actively work in the Action Request (AR) process (F-35 program specific) which includes generating ARs, transferring AR information to P&W Engineering for review, reporting AR information for Metrics, tracking AR’s to closure, and passing information into government sponsored systems (LIST).

  • Maintain daily status documents for reporting to P&W, LM and government leadership.

  • Work closely with Pratt & Whitney Connecticut sustainment organization to resolve technical and logistical problems involving F135 engine operation and maintenance.

  • Use initiative and judgment to identify problems, assist with investigations to determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Actively support Continuous Improvement (ACE) initiatives including tasks for creating standard work, value stream mapping, processing, and more.

  • Ensure employee safety by complying with and supporting Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) activities.

  • Casual overtime will be necessary

  • Because the F-35 Fleet is worldwide, work during some holidays and weekends throughout the year will be required.

  • This is second shift position.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in related engineering/technical/logistics field is required.

  • A minimum of 5+ years working in F135/F-35 program

  • At least 4 years proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Must be able to acquire a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with F135 propulsion system

  • Must be comfortable working in a high pressure, fast paced environment
