The Operations Lead is responsible for strategic planning and execution of deliverables throughout a customer value stream lifecycle to maximize customer satisfaction and business performance metrics.
This position will interface with senior leadership, Integrated Project Team members and customer representatives. Direct areas of responsibility include value stream performance metrics, manufacturing quality and supplier performance, new product introduction, digital solutions, and manufacturing strategy.
Incumbent must be proficient in the use of PC and applicable software applications, a strong communicator, and able to work with people and produce results in a fast paced, highly collaborative work environment. Incumbent will work with all levels of management to ensure that business activities are aligned to achieve goals for safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost performance.
This position reports to the Military Landing Gear Operations Lead with accountability to ensure collaboration and support of the functional Integrated Product Teams. Experience working with military aerospace products, procedures, and specifications to ensure product integrity and quality is highly desirable.
Supports Operations Lead Responsibilities throughout the Military Programs Value Streams as defined by the Collins Management System (CMS).
Key point of contact and Integrated Project Team (IPT) focal charged with supporting customers, value streams and delivering results throughout the product lifecycle.
Coordinates data-based improvement strategies and initiatives and leads special projects to support quality, cost reduction, process improvement, environmental health and safety, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinates with various functions to support and align the manufacturing build plan to support customer deliverables.
Ensures quality compliance to industry and customer requirements, as well as internal processes.
Monitors supply chain performance and material availability and delivers action plans to support customer and business objectives.
Provides business input for critical aspects of sourcing, procurement and management of suppliers (including third party developed materials), for Military Landing Gear.
Participates with cross-functional resources to facilitate real-time problem resolution and deliver customer and business requirements.
Facilitates the Collins Management System (CMS) Delivery Assurance Call.
Participates in and provides input for Design and Development Reviews, Customer Satisfaction Reviews, SIOP, policy deployment, and long-range Strategic Planning.
Ensures manufacturing readiness for new program introductions.
Provides operations deliverables and input throughout product lifecycle stage gates.
Manages manufacturing metrics and improvement strategies to improve cost per hour, first pass yield, test yield, performance to TAKT, on time to start (OTTS), days to manufacture (DTM), efficiency, utilization and productivity.
Develops and delivers communication to include presentations to customers and multiple levels in the organization.
Site focal for Digital Technology initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
Experience in manufacturing environment.
Manufacturing planning, supervision and strategy, program management and customer interface experience.
