In this role, you will be a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) analyst in support of both the Integrated Missiles & Defense Systems (IMDS) and Command and Control (C2) product areas within RMD Strategic Missile Defense (SMD) business area. The C2 product line represents a complex business model with a predominantly international customer base, and the primary IMDS business portfolio currently includes missile defense kill vehicle platform programs of Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV) and newly awarded Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) programs. You will be offered an opportunity for a challenging role that includes exposure to senior leadership and complicated financial analysis and transactions.
The C2 & IMDS FP&A team is a proactive organization that anticipates problems and drives results by working with the program teams and managing business risk & opportunity. You will report directly to the PL FP&A Manager, as well as regularly support the Sr. Finance Manager and C2 & IMDS Directors. Frequent interaction with the SMD FP&A Team as well as working closely with Program FP&A leads should also be expected. Major responsibilities include monthly forecasting, long range planning (LRP) cycle, annual operating plan (AOP), unbilled cash reviews, OWP staffing demand oversight, functional overhead analysis, as well as other ad-hoc management reviews. You will also be responsible for accuracy and continuous improvement of the monthly forecast process.
Additionally, this role will also provide Program Controls support to one or more programs to within the to the C2 product area. This would include Analyst role support to an International program(s) for planning and control, program baselining and earned value implementation, monthly cost analysis and program status, cash management, and EAC development.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Prepare Management for monthly operating reviews, financial overviews and other reporting activities as required.
Support the development of the five-year strategic and annual operating plans and related analysis, as well as possess the ability to coordinate and present related non-financial data.
Support the monthly closing process and provide variance analysis.
Serve as a partner in the planning and forecasting process with the FP&A Manager and program business managers.
Program control support including program baselining, EVMS implementation, monthly financial status, and cash management.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics or related
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in finance-related program/cost schedule/FP&A focus
Experience with business systems including SAP
Earned Value Management (EVMS) Experience is required
Experience with Microsoft tool suite (Advance power use of Excel – pivot tables, advance formulas, vlookups)
