Budget Analyst – Early Career
Raytheon Solipsys, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raytheon Technologies and part of the Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) business, has an opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Budget Analyst to join our Finance team in Fulton, MD. The successful candidate will take full ownership over the Raytheon Solipsys indirect rate management function.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Support the full spectrum of indirect rate management activities, to include the establishment of indirect expense budgets, tracking actual expenditures vs. budgets, analyzing variances, recognizing trends, estimation of projected indirect pool base, calculation of Overhead and G&A rates, and scenario analysis based on changing inputs.
Provide comprehensive and meaningful reporting relative to all aspects of indirect rates, to include working proactively to make continuous improvements with reporting and developing new approaches to reporting that enhance informed, data-driven decision-making.
Preparation of provisional billing rate requests to DCAA, preparation of annual Incurred Cost Submission requirements, audit support and maintenance of the Solipsys Disclosure Statement.
Act as a dependable resource for others within Raytheon Solipsys regarding the relevant Raytheon policies and procedures, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) clauses, and anything else that impacts indirect rates.
Additional projects within the scope of the Finance team to be assigned as workload allows.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field of study
Minimum of 2 years relevant professional work experience
Knowledge of and experience with indirect rate management concepts in a defense contracting environment
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
High level of expertise in Microsoft Suite (advanced Excel – pivot tables, advanced formulas and PowerPoint)

This role can be either a G07 or a G08 salary grade. The G08 role requires additional experience and/or education. A minimum of 4 years of professional work experience is required for the G08 level position.
