Raytheon Technologies Manager, Human Resources Partner in Goleta, California

Raytheon Intelligence and Space is seeking a dynamic and innovative Human Resources Partner to support the Operations and Supply Chain Functions at Raytheon Vision Systems. The HR Partner serves as the face of the HR function, building credibility throughout the organization. This is an opportunity to provide strategic and hands-on leadership in all areas of Human Resources management, including talent development, performance development, compensation, employee relations, talent acquisition, change management, diversity and inclusion, and workforce data analytics. The successful candidate will implement HR strategies and solutions to meet the needs of a diverse population, primarily located in Goleta, CA and Lompoc, CA. This role will provide strategic problem solving, drive initiatives and projects to completion, and effectively interact with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization are key to success.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with business leaders to assess, architect and drive organizational change to achieve leader and organizational maximum effectiveness

• Execution of critical HR processes, including compensation, performance management, talent acquisition, talent development and workforce planning

• Advocate and resolve management and employee issues and concerns through effective coaching, conducting internal investigations, and implementing corrective actions, and escalating issues when warranted

• Consistently apply Raytheon Technologies policies and processes to mitigate risk and ensure fair and equitable solutions

• Apply sound judgment to identify issues and prescribe HR solutions in ambiguous situations with confidence

• Leverage organizational effectiveness tools to assess organizational performance and improve team and leader effectiveness

• Serve as a trusted advisor to front and mid level leaders and advocate to employees

• Collaborate across HR and Business stakeholders to execute HR initiatives and processes that support strategic business decisions

• Ensure Talent Acquisition and Talent Development needs are met with appropriate and timely support and resources in collaboration with the HR team

• Leverage the available HR tools and experts to develop meaningful data analytics that guide business decision making

• Develop a reputation as a neutral and approachable HR partner focused on employees, front and mid-level managers, senior leaders and the organization

Required Skills:

•Minimum of eight (8) years of Human Resources experience, including employee relations and investigations, compensation and merit planning, performance management, talent development, and talent acquisition

•Excellent team building skills, self-motivated, and able to operate independently with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high volume environment

•Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and remain flexible in the face of changing priorities

•Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills

•Must possess excellent analytical and interpersonal skills

•Must be a team player and have an interest in working collaboratively to develop creative solutions to business and HR challenges

•Strong business acumen and understanding of the HR strategic partnership in driving business results

•Strong change management skills and the ability to successfully partner with managers to drive change across the organization

•The ability to work successfully at all levels of the organization and maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion

•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to comfortably present to audiences of varying sizes and organizational levels

•Ability to influence, advocate and lead change

•Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment, labor, and compliance requirements

•Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

•U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems

Desired Skills:

•Experience working in the defense industry

•Experience using Workday or other HR planning tools

Required Education:

•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university

Desired Education:

•Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Management or related field
