Raytheon Technologies Manager II-Program Management in Goleta, California

The Program Operations Manager for the Advanced Programs (AP) and Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) Program is the Operations point of contact for the program area Product Line Program Managers, program customers, and other functional managers and is responsible for effective Operations implementation within the program area. The position will focus on all tasks associated with Operations for the AP product line. These tasks include, but are not limited to: tracking on time delivery, manufacturing plan creation; capacity analysis; recurring and non-recurring cost basis of estimates (BOE) and reason development/analysis; manufacturing readiness assessment; creation of manufacturing maturation plans (MMP); identification and planning of operations related investment desired to achieve price to win (PTW) and MMP; capital deployment planning and administration; influencing design to achieve cost and schedule targets through DFMA/DTC/DTUPC and producability studies; transition to production planning; and transition planning of existing work to other factories.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Production Control

  • Flexibility and agility of working in an undefined development environment where processes and procedures may not always exist

  • Experience with development programs and working with multi-functional, cross sector teams on a variety of projects, working groups, and inter-business units

  • Familiarization with proposal development and gated review process​​​​​​​

  • Operations Experience related to planning, execution, and managing on-time delivery in a manufacturing environment

  • ​​​​​​​Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate program status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders including senior administration, customers, and major subcontractors

  • Experience with the planning, ownership, and implementation efforts

  • In Depth knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) and associated manufacturing resources

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date

  • Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance

    Desired Skills:

  • DoD Secret security clearance

  • Knowledge of transition to manufacturing planning/scheduling concepts

  • Experience with business and project management instruments and procedures (EVMS, IMS/IMP, Risk Management, financial forecasts, and EAC)

  • Experience with processes infrastructure such as IPDS, Common PDM, PRISM/Apex and VM a plus

    Required Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University

    Desired Education: Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Science or Mathematics or related discipline
