Raytheon Technologies Senior Electrical Engineer in Goleta, California
Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) Advanced Concepts and Technology (ACT) business unit is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to work on Electronic Warfare (EW) and processing electronics product development for defense applications. The work will be full time to invent, innovate and advance technology with unique technical solutions. The candidate will be central to systems design and integration working closely with systems engineers, mechanical engineers, analogy signal processing engineers and software engineers. The position will be located in Goleta, California.
The candidate will be responsible for design of power conversion, mixed-signal, and RF (Radio Frequency) Circuits for Electronic Warfare & Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) products & subsystems. The candidate will be performing electrical design, and electrical design analysis, implementing design solutions, performing simulations, and performing analysis and testing of associated hardware in a laboratory setting. The candidate will generate electrical, power conversion, and RF module requirements documents and testing requirements. The candidate will become familiar with the latest technology trends in the area of power conversion, mixed signal, and RF/Microwave circuits. The candidate will work in the product development team environment with system engineers. This position may require occasional business related travel.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in Power Conversion, RF/Microwave, or Mixed-Signal (or comparable hardware) design and testing
•Experience with schematic capture, block diagrams, and parts lists for complex electronics
•Hands-on experience in testing of electronic products using high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, waveform generators, and debugging tools
•Minimum 5 years of experience with design tools (Spice, Schematic/Layout Design Software, Matlab, ADS as examples)
•Possess skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment
•Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as effective written and excellent verbal communication skills
•The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is required as only US Citizens are eligible for a Security Clearance
•A deep desire to learn and engage in complex system design that connects imagination with reality
•Experience designing FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Array) with embedded microprocessors
•FPGA design implementation/verification with VHDL (Vhsic Hardware Description Language) design language
•High end software game user and/or developer
•RF and Microwave Circuit Analysis and Design
•Signal Integrity Analysis
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Master’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
