Raytheon Technologies Senior Process Engineer in Goleta, California
Raytheon Intelligence & Space is looking for a Semiconductor Process Engineer to work at Raytheon Vision Systems in Goleta, CA.
You will focus on compound semiconductor wafer fabrication used in the manufacture of Infrared Focal Plane Arrays.
These processes include wet and dry etching, vacuum deposition, wet and dry cleans, photolithography and associated metrology technologies.
You will be responsible for process health (yield, throughput), reviewing and maintaining statistical process control (SPC) programs, generating work instructions and training operators.
You will also be instrumental in evaluating, planning, identifying, and qualifying new capital equipment as well as process development and documentation. You will work in multifunctional teams to design new processes and solve problems in fabricating and delivering state-of-the-art Infrared Focal Plane Arrays for a variety of customers.
Minimum 4 years of professional, related experience in engineering or sciences, with experience in semiconductor materials or processes and semiconductor processing and a Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 2 years of experience required with a Master’s degree.
Experience with metrology equipment
Familiarity with cleanroom work environment and principles (Class 5)
Experience handling chemicals
Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE/ANOVA)
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data system
Sound knowledge of basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts
Experience with II-VI and III-V or other compound semiconductor processing
Hands-on cleanroom experience fabricating semiconductor electro-optical devices
Experience with wet etch, metal-lift off, photolithography, plasma cleaning
Equipment and controls systems experience
Excellent computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity and experience with device design and modeling tools
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or schematics
Visual Basic, G code, C+, or other computer programming experience
Good mechanical aptitude and/or chemical handling ability
Understanding of basic semiconductor physics
Program and Project management experience
Experience with Infrared Detector Technology
Industrial/Government experience or internships
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) required.
Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or Electrical Engineering preferred.
