Raytheon Technologies Test Technician in Goleta, California
RVS has an immediate need for experienced technicians familiar with test of imaging system components in the visible and Infrared bands. Duties will include setup and operation of Read Out Integrated Circuits (ROIC,) wafer probers, setup and operation of visible and IR focal plane test systems for test of Sensor Chip Assemblies, (SCA’s,) thru setup and final test of integrated detector-cooler assemblies, (IDCAs.)
The candidate will work in an engineering environment on mature or developing hardware.
With training, the candidate will be expected to setup a test, perform all tests from formal documentation, or informal direction, and verify that the test completed successfully or diagnose why the test didn’t complete. Other duties will include reporting status to line and program management, and assuring equipment used for test is ready and operational. The candidate may also participate in integrated product teams, special projects, diagnostics, reworks, or other engineering activities as directed by program or line management. The candidate will be expected to support multiple test efforts on a weekly, and sometimes daily basis.
The candidate will be expected to assume solo responsibility for execution of tests and transition to a second or third shift schedule after approximately 90 days training with experienced staff. The candidate will also be expected to transition to a modified work week after 90 days training. This work week may include Sundays thru Thursdays, or Tuesdays thru Saturdays, or may include other non standard work weeks as program schedules dictate.
8+ years related work experience
MS Office suite
Familiarity with lab environment, especially safety
Ability to work in functional product teams and with some instruction work independently
Ability to learn
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, especially work hours
Semiconductor probing knowledge
MatLab, C++, LabView knowledge
Associates degree in science or engineering
Familiarity with power supplies, oscopes and logic analyzers
Focal plane array familiarity
High school, secondary school or equivalent with 8 years of experience.
