Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated PCB designer to join the Avionics Shared Service Department. The department is responsible for support in engineering the development and test of hardware.
Products for a variety of military and space platforms including, fighter aircrafts, transporter platforms, helicopters and satellites.
The hardware development includes:
Mission computers
Small form factor computer
Data Transfer Units and Network Attached Storage
Processing and Programmable resources (FPGAs, PowerPC, Intel, and ARM processors)
Avionics I/O (For example: 10G Ethernet, ARINC 429, MIL-STD 1553, PCIe, Discretes, Video, Audio)
Momentum Wheels for Satellites, Wheel drive electronics
Job Responsibilities:
The candidate is expected to contribute throughout the full product development cycle in the
following areas:
Schematic capture
Forward and backward annotation
Component engineering
PCB layout requirements capture
Implementation of constraints to the PCB design tool
Implementation of the mechanical data
Component placement and signal routing according the design constraints
Post Processing
Documentation and reviews
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 Years’ experience in PCB design
Knowledge of EMI and Signal/Power Integrity Design techniques
Knowledge of electrical interface standards as (e.g. PCI Express, GBit Ethernet, VPX VITA) is beneficial
Knowledge of Industrial standards as IPC and ECSS are required
Knowledge of routing high speed interfaces up to 10Ghz are required
PCB design of complex digital and analog hardware
Rigid and rigid-flex Boards up to 24 layers
Stack up with blind and buried technology
Experience in routing high pin count BGAs with many different signal and power connections
The following terms shall be known: SMD, decoupling, fan-out, microvia, annular ring, thermal relief, aperture, gerber, keep out, area fill, counter sink, stack-up, core via, backdrilling, impedance, crosstalk, padless
Good written and spoken English skills
Good communication skills to management and team
Knowledge of PCB design tools such as:
Schematic capture tools from Mentor Graphics Dxdesigner
Layout tools from Mentor Graphics Xpedition and Zuken CR5000 and CR8000
