Raytheon Technologies Special Operations Forces (SOF) Logistics Planner in Hohenfels, Germany
This position provides Special Operations Forces(SOF) logistics planning and subject matter expertise and staff support to the Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) Operations Group (OPSGRP) located at Hohenfels, Germany.
The Special Operations Forces(SOF) Logistics Planner will develop, review, and revise logistics support plans and concepts in support of SOF training, assigned missions, and exercise scenarios. Effort is targeted at exercising and training logistics in a SOF/Conventional Force Interdependence, Interoperability and Integration (SOF/CF I3) environment. The SOF Logistics Planner will provide guidance and technical assistance in the development of plans and orders to support military training exercises. The SOF Logistics Planner will provide advice and recommendations to high level officials regarding logistics plans and concepts and design data collection requirements to support operational planning. The SOF Logistics Planner will review, coordinate, evaluate, and integrate actions desired to support current and future training missions. The SOF Logistics Planner shall coordinate the SOF logistics for the scheme of maneuver (equipment systems; standing operating procedures; tactics, techniques, and procedures; and the geopolitical sensitivities) in the training exercise. The SOF Logistics Planner shall plan for isolated OPFOR logistics. Logistic support shall be coordinated IAW the Final Planning Conference (FPC). The SOF Logistics Planner will assess the operational readiness and capability of training units and their commanders and staff elements. This support will occur throughout the full Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) process period for each training exercise.
Uses background and experience with exercise logistics support requirements; coordinates SOF support involvement; and serves as a SOF Logistics subject matter senior during exercise development and implementation.
Designs unique logistics and support solutions for SOF exercises and JMRC training events.
Identifies and synchronizes Timed Phased Force and Deployment of logistical support desired in the realm of Special Operations joint training exercises.
Uses SOF Tactics Techniques and Procedures necessary to accurately identify the various types of SOF support requested.
Uses U.S. Army and joint doctrine to interact with Multinational SOF in order to improve interrelationships.
Develops, reviews and revises military training plans and standards.
Assesses operational readiness and determines capability of units, commanders and staff elements.
Analyzes plans, data, intelligence information, or systems. Develops estimates and makes recommendations for deficiencies.
Collects data for analysis. Develops products resulting from analysis.
Introduce appropriate Warfighting Functional (WtF) logistical support in scenario development.
Familiarized in SOF maintenance and logistics of specialized and unique combat equipment related to U.S. SOF and partner nation elements in support of USSOCOM, USEUCOM, and SOCEUR goals.
Experienced in USSOCOM Operations particularly as it pertains to Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force integration, interoperability, and interdependency with conventional forces.
A deep knowledge of tactical-level sustainment operations; experience in the design of SOF sustainment and logistics portions of exercises, scenarios, and the overseeing of sustainment and logistics JMSEL events.
Doctrinal knowledge of US/NATO conventional and unconventional operations.
Experience with the Timed Phased Force and Deployment Data.
Experience with integrating sustainment and logistics into exercise scenarios.
Possess the level of communication skills desired to effectively and efficiently brief military and civilian key team members via written products or oral presentations.
Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Ability to work long hours on consecutive days/nights in support of exercise preparation, implementation, evaluation and close-out.
Possess active SECRET clearance with potential to require a TS/SCI clearance in the future.
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of closely related military experience; OR 15 years of closely related military experience.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
