Raytheon Technologies Sustainment Analyst in Hohenfels, Germany
The Sustainment Analyst is a logistics operations support experienced professional, responsible for gathering data and information that is necessary to analyze training exercise sustainment requirements of U.S. and Multi-National military units participating in a JMRC supported training event. From that analysis of data/ information the Sustainment SME develops a sustainment concept and plan. Coordinates within JMRC OPSGRP staff sections and other supporting agencies as well as with participating units for each exercise. The Analyst then facilitates implementation of the sustainment plan and adapts as necessary to accommodate changing sustainment needs. This work is primarily centered on military classes of supplies I (rations), III (fuel) and V (ammunition) as well as field services and transportation required by all US, NATO and partners participating in each exercise. The Sustainment Analyst routinely works with higher level military commands and staffs throughout this process.
Assemble, collate and analyze data regarding sustainment needs of all participating units/organizations regarding Class I (rations), Class III (fuel), Class V (ammunition), transportation and other logistics support. This includes delivery of these capabilities and related field services.
Develops plans and products from analysis.
Coordinate with US military and multinational partner higher headquarters regarding sustainment support of exercises/events in preparation for training exercise.
Gather and coordinate exercise data, scheduling and overall exercise concepts from JMRC OPSGRP staff and participating training units.
Identify and synchronize Timed-Phased-Force and Deployment of logistical support joint training exercises.
Acquire a detailed understanding of each training units manning numbers, equipment density and arrival and departure dates as well as the units’ method conveyance to/from JMRC exercises.
Participate in Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) planning process that occurs for each training exercise.
Track changes in overall exercise plans and participants; adjust sustainment data and plans to meet changing requirements, and coordinates sustainment adjustments with affected organizations.
Work closely with US and Multinational unit logisticians and other supporting logistics participants during exercise planning and implementation to effectively integrate sustainment operations including organization of commodities and supplies, forward planning and distribution methodologies.
Facilitate and oversee the implementation of Sustainment Plan during each exercise/event as it occurs. Tracks implementation and utilization as well as assisting in the resolution of sustainment issues during exercise implementation.
Manage/coordinate equipment allocation of JMRC prepositioned fleet.
Oversee Sustainment Plan implementation for every JMRC related military training exercise.
Identify and synchronize Timed Phased Force and Deployment of logistical support joint training exercises.
Doctrinal knowledge of US/NATO operations.
Experience with the Timed Phased Force and Deployment Data.
Experience with integrating sustainment and logistics into exercise scenarios.
Possess the level of communication skills desired to effectively and efficiently brief military and civilian leadership via written products or oral presentations.
Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Ability to work long hours on consecutive days/nights in support of exercise preparation, implementation, evaluation and close-out.
Possess active SECRET clearance with potential to require a TS/SCI clearance in the future.
- Master's degree in a related field and 3 years of specialized experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4-6 years of specialized experience; OR 10 years of specialized experience.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
