Raytheon Technologies Contracts Negotiator / Sr Contracts Negotiator in Huntsville, Alabama
Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Contracts has an exciting opening for a Contracts Negotiator/Sr. Contracts Negotiator to lead and be responsible for the management and administration of the Requirements Analysis and Design (RAD) program within the Strategic Missile and Defense (SMD). RAD provides timely, relevant ballistic missile defense system level products that are critical to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
Your responsibilities will include developing strong internal and external customer relationships and providing creative approaches to addressing business needs. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the RAD program team and responsible for contractual support to ongoing development efforts. This includes Requests for Proposals (RFP) analysis, proposal development, review and coordination of contract modifications, contract negotiations, and general contract management duties.
This position may be for a Contracts Negotiator or a Sr. Contracts Negotiator depending on the applicants’ skills and qualifications.
This position may be located in Huntsville, AL or remotely. Travel may be required to Tucson, AZ and Huntsville, AL if working remotely or at a different location.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance within one year
Roles and responsibilities include:
Working closely with Program Director, Business/Estimating functions to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals.
Providing support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues.
Reviewing incoming correspondence and outgoing correspondence for accuracy and quality control.
Responding to internal and external customers, as appropriate and in coordination with Contracts Manager regarding open or related contracts administration actions.
Contracts support in the development of non-disclosure agreements and other contractual documents required in the pursuit of new business.
Excellent communications skills, both orally and in writing; strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated successes working in a teaming environment both internally and externally.
Capable of handling multiple assignments concurrently.
4 yrs (Contracts Negotiator) / 6 yrs (Sr Contracts Negotiator) of professional contracts related experience
BS/BA in Business, Finance, Law or other related field
Experience leading proposal and contract negotiations with a track record of achieving business objectives and meeting customer needs
Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and Power- point.
U.S. citizenship is required
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Relevant experience in Industry, Government, or Legal.
Experience working with U.S. Government acquisition and related acquisitions, such as FAR, DFARS, and ITAR.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
