Job Summary:

This is an opportunity to join the Missile Defense Program team of the Strategic Sensor Systems (S3) Product Area as the Business Manager supporting the THAAD LM programs.

The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) LM Subcontract programs provide analysis, simulation, integration, and test support to THAAD system builds, provide support to update UAE training materials, provide THAAD Weapon System Training Development and System Integration Planning Support, and provide ACD participation and support for THAAD for engineering technical services to Lockheed Martin.

You will work under deadlines constraints and multitask as well as collaborate with all levels of the organization. You will provide top level program planning and control guidance as well as summarize, package, present information to all levels of management, and execute hands on with a finance team. As a strategic business partner, you will collaborate and partner with the responsible functions to ensure the successful execution of quarterly EACs, monthly Operating Reviews, as well as AOP forecasting and maintenance. You will ensure the finance team is well respected as a valued business partner.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Be fully accountable for the financial execution, including EAC development, risk and opportunity analysis, earned value support, performance against AOP, and tracking cost control initiatives and proposal/capture support.

  • Directly manage and support the THAAD LM finance analysts on tasks such as developing EACs, earned value support, as well as career and performance development

  • Support management by quickly assimilating into a team culture

  • Proactively lead self-initiated investigations, solve problems, and resolve issues

  • Ensure that all assignments are prioritized and completed on schedule with adequate time allotted for management review

  • Prepare and present director-level presentations

  • Review of Subcontract Data Requirements List (SDRLs)

  • Ensure Month end reconciliation and overall monthly cadence

    An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for 2 years additional years of experience .

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related

  • 5+ Years of professional experience in a related finance role

  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) is required

  • Experience with Program Controls (Cost/Schedule), and Estimates at Completion (EAC) Process

  • Experience with SAP accounting system / Standard Business Warehouse reports and/or similar reports

    Qualifications We Value:

  • EVMS audit/surveillance experience

  • FP&A, Billing and Proposal process experience

  • Familiarity with EDIT+, SAP APEX, Rplan, PMX, and AO

  • Proactive with demonstrated ability to recognize process shortfalls and successfully implement positive change

  • Excellent communication/presentation skills: oral and written

  • Ability to frame and interpret issues for Senior Management

    This role is PT/Hybrid near an RMD/RTX site. Relocation provided.
