This role will be embedded within our Huntsville operation leading Logistics teams in a fast-paced environment to support a state of the art factory which delivers some of the most advanced and strategic missiles to the fleet.

Job Summary:

RMD is hiring a Logistics Manager at the Raytheon Redstone Missile Integration Facility (RRMIF) in Huntsville, Alabama. This position is responsible for the leadership of all RRMIF logistics activities related to material receipt, shipment, inventory accuracy, strategic warehouse management, and distribution operations on the Redstone Arsenal, as well as being the principal liaison with the 3PL provider supporting the site. This leader will be responsible for the planning and execution of all logistics activities in support of site Operations requirements regarding MRP and end production goals . This leader will execute the mission through a team of 15-20 exempt and non-exempt Logistics personnel.

Exemplary leadership interface with other cross-business functions is required to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include RRMIF Operation’s leadership team, value stream managers, production control, Finance, Quality, and other business partners.

The RRMIF Logistics leader will influence, identify, and implement system solutions, technological improvements, and facilitate forward thinking initiatives to achieve/exceed safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals, which are the critical performance criteria for this position.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Superior and timely communication across operational lines to subordinates, peers and senior leadership

  • Management and accountability for Safety of personnel and operations

  • Daily leadership through prioritization, coaching and development of both direct and matrixed exempt and non-exempt team members

  • Quality of performance, support of projected schedules and unplanned challenges, effective budgetary/EAC execution

  • Administration of PRISM operations, Sarbanes Oxley personnel authorizations and comprehensive oversight of PRISM activities, which ensure accurate process execution and material accountability

    Qualifications you Must Have:

  • Minimum of 8 years relevant work experience within Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain and/or Program functions

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related fields

  • Experience working with compliance or similar auditing environments

  • Superior understanding of quality-based methodology used in forming analytical, root cause corrective action applications (i.e. Six Sigma)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • A CSCP, CTLD or comparable Supply Chain professional certification will be required in the first year

    Qualifications we Value:

  • An MBA or equivalent business graduate degree is preferred

  • Strong personnel leadership achievement in a collaborative, cross-functional, matrix environment

  • Experience working with ITAR, Defense Security Services (DSS) regulations or Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

  • Desired candidate will exhibit an executive presence and be able to effectively communicate with program managers and directors, customer representatives, functional leadership and government agencies related to Property activities

  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and urgent requests to ensure that RMD business needs are met

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships based on mutual respect with peers, customers and team members

  • Knowledge of DoD 4145.26 Contractor’s Safety Manual for Explosives

  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), disclosure statements, and Sarbanes-Oxley

  • Established networks with Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality

  • Strong compliance temperament, strategic planning skill, and understanding of forecasting requirements with ability to convert to effective direction of activity and resource allocation through high tempo, competing priorities and conflicts

  • Problem solving/decision making skills with ability to make, clearly drive, and communicate timely, effective, fact-based decisions

  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to comprehend, implement and explain complex policies and processes
